To NaNo or not to NaNo? That is the question. I've never done NaNo (thought I have written a first draft in one month), and I didn't think of doing it this year either. But see, I've got this story idea that's nagging me. I've already written the blurb, and I know the basic plot. ButwhatifIfail...are there sanctions against NaNo failers? The muse will abandon you? Agents and editors will blacklist you? You'll never ever write a novel again?
Hmmmm...a decision of this magnitude may require chocolate.
Other than that, I've unfortunately come upon yet another crafty hobby: knitting. Yes, I've knit before, and no, I haven't finished a single thing. But I want to - socks, scarves, and wristwarmers! I'm going to raid the yarn section of a local department store on my next day off on Tuesday, and until then, I'll be knitting with an ancient hank of blue and white wool yarn that absolutely doesn't go with any clothes I own. But at least I'll get some practice, and knitting is a wonderful way to brainstorm story ideas, too.

I love knitting! That's one thing I always have to keep going, although I am painfully slow at it. There is always a ball of yarn and a pair of needles near my favorite chair.
Ahh, a fellow knitter! :-) There's just something so soothing about it, isn't there?
