I'm at home, still sick, so I've been going through my magazine stash and lo, I found a gem. An issue of Country Living (British edition) from 2003. I love it, nay, absolutely adore it (in an "I must subscribe to this right away, like on this minute" way - it's true, I was about to subscribe to it on my iPhone but then I realized I was ordering the US edition and had to get up and come to the computer). It's chock-full of pretty pics from the British countryside (amazing frosted views of English vineyards and mystical flashes of old manor houses) and stories of quaint little businesses hidden in sleepy English villages. It even had a three-page feature on lemon - get it, lemon? Lemon history, lemon delicacies, cookware just for lemons. And the names - I don't think any other country has quite as delicious names as England does. I've found for example these surname gems: Lillicrap, Tart & Mullucks. And this cottage name: Brimblecombe. Also, Lulworth. Now, don't tell me these names aren't just screaming to be included in a story. Something like Dickens for children...
In case you're curious, no, I didn't subscribe yet because it was so darn expensive. I think I'll check if I can find the mag at the mall first. However, I did post another tutorial, so go learn how to make charm bracelets.
